Lampworking day #20, testing the pallet.

Last night's glass play time was all about testing out the colors in my pallet to check out what I can and cannot do.

Are you getting bored of this pattern already?  I can't decide whether I'm bored of making them yet or not; but I really like having them... they're...cute.

I also discovered there really isn't a lot you can do with that aqua color I've been fighting with since Wednesday...  I don't know if I'm ready to give up on it yet or not though.

The second green bead is supposed to have purple dots, but they kind of sunk into the bead, lol.  Also the blue bead's supposed to have red dots.  ...::sigh::

This bead was for playing around... I wanted to do something creative... something... floral?  But I don't like the results because there is no shading.  I seriously need to figure out this pallet.  And I need to buy some other colors in order to get what I'm trying.  I have never said this before, but I need some pink.  :)

I also need to get off my ass with this stringer issue.

Aaaannnd, here are my teeny tiny friends, they came over just to brighten my day.  :)  I love you, minis.  hehehe

Have a nice day y'all.

  2. Marlow - wonderful pictures! I will comment on your blog.

DavidH - looking back on it now I think it's really funny too, seriously my murrini look more like FRIT than murrini. But I read that I had to leave bead release drying overnight and I was so excited, I HAD to melt some glass! For now I've dedicated to making beads and maybe I'll make some murrini in the future when I feel more comfortable with the glass... I really think I need a better cutter though.

    See you on LE! :D
